Get exclusive access to unique locations closed to even the most experienced rock hounds, while learning the geology of the area! These day, overnight, and weekend trips offer a life time of memories and knowledge. We go after a variety of minerals and fossils, some locations have unique challenges and restrictions while others like the Trilobites and Azurite trips are open to all ages. The Solarwind claim is most famous for its unusual and large Bixbyites! However, the Topaz found here is also unique in that it doesn't turn clear in the sun light it turns pink! There will be a back hoe digging to assist us in collecting. This means we will be able to access the lower beds where better quality and larger geodes are located. We are limited to 2 five gallon buckets per person which can be a lot of smaller geodes or a couple larger ones.  This trip is highly recommended for kids of all ages.

Turquoise Field Trip - Guided collecint tour to the Famous Color Back Mine in Nevada
This trip has some amazing sights, and gems to offer. With a ghost town on the property and potential for prospecting, there is a lot to do, find, and keep you busy! The colorback mind is world famous, and produces not only Turquoise but also Varicite.  No children under 12 on this trip. Limit of 3lbs of material per person.

All rock hounding expeditions, and field trips are dependent on weather, and other needs of the mine/land owners. If a trip is canceled beyond our control all tickets will be accredited with store credit to attend another trip.
